From classrooms to remote communities, we are building scientists for Nepal

We bring hands-on-science, curiosity, and opportunities to children across Nepal, especially those who have been left behind.

About Us

Nepal has made important progress in expanding access to education, but ensuring that students develop strong scientific understanding and practical skills remains a challenge.

At विज्ञान सबैका लागि | Science for All, we believe that science education should extend beyond textbooks and examinations. Through interactive science camps, hands-on experiments, and conversations with scientists, we aim to make science engaging, accessible, and relevant to everyday life.

Our goal is to help students become curious learners who ask questions, investigate evidence, think critically, and see themselves as future scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers.

Dr. Senjuti Saha

PhD, MPH

Dr. Senjuti Saha is the Deputy Executive Director at the Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF), Bangladesh, where she leads research on preventable infectious diseases. She holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto, Canada, and completed her postdoctoral training at the Hospital for Sick Children, Canada, and Stanford University, USA.

In 2016, Dr. Saha returned to Bangladesh to strengthen public health research and establish a state-of-the-art genomics center. Her work in genomic epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has advanced understanding of typhoid, paratyphoid, and Klebsiella infections. Her research also generated critical evidence that contributed to the introduction of the typhoid conjugate vaccine (TCV) in Bangladesh in 2025. She was the first to detect chikungunya virus in the cerebrospinal fluid of children with meningitis and led the sequencing of Bangladesh’s first SARS-CoV-2 genome. She currently leads research on RSV, single-cell genomics, neonatal sepsis, and AMR, informing public health strategies locally and globally. She has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications, and sits on the editorial boards of international journals.

Beyond her research, Dr. Saha leads Building Scientists for Bangladesh (BSB), a nationwide initiative dedicated to nurturing the next generation of scientists by expanding equitable access to science education, creating opportunities for hands-on learning, and fostering trust in science. Her vision is rooted in advancing health and research equity, ensuring that scientific knowledge and its benefits are accessible to everyone. At the heart of her work is a simple principle: Science by and for the many, not the few.
